Things you'll need:
A flexible measuring tape
Steps:
Stand up straight with your arms relaxed at your sides.
Locate the acromion bone on each shoulder. This is the bony point at the top of your shoulder, where your shoulder meets your upper arm.
Place the end of the measuring tape on the acromion bone of one shoulder.
Hold the tape measure taut and bring it across your back to the acromion bone of the other shoulder.
Read the measurement off the tape. This is your shoulder width.
